Chicago in 6 hours

Robbie and Sarah and I went to Chicago for the day. Its tough when kids are in school and working to get away for very long. Chicago you really need a few days to take it all in. A BB , FB or even a Basketball game would have been fun.In the right seasons of course.
Shopping at your best on Michigan Ave. That in its self could take a couple days if you were really a serious shopper.
Part of the famous Chicago sky line.
Robbie and Sarah and me in the back round at Millennium Park in front of the Blog thing.
It was a good day, thanks for coming with me guys.

Robbie, Sarah and Mellows

Robbie and Sarah were able to come out and visit us for the weekend. We had a fast trip to Nauvoo and to Chicago. It was time to burn another article of clothing for a missionary so we stoked up the fire and let the no see um (correct name for them google it) bugs bit us once again. You would think we would learn about these bugs. They are nasty little buggers and you don't think your getting bit until the next day when you have these large bites that itch like crazy and last for about 5 days.
The burned mellows were good though...
The Elders sure love to do this little ritual of burning a tie, shirt, pants and then a suit.
Our new spanish missionary Elder A (new elder on the block), from Provo Utah. He has been out for 6 months now so his tie was burned.

Blue Eyed Babes

Today at our little photo shoot we went to the AF park. The kids thought it was fun and weren't overly interested in listening. We are just looking for one good shot to use with the one i will take once the baby is here.
If Bubba can tell them apart so should you..........
Is it or isn't it .......
Naughty face
Bubba was performing well after someone gave him a carmel brownie for breakfast. It wasn't me. New baby we would love to meet you. Your outside presence is needed.

Twins VS Stinky Feet

There is a known fact that twins share everything even personal breathing space. So breathing your twins sisters foot in your face most of the night isn't really an issue for these two. Sisterly Love in Action....

TAB do you remember when???

My mom used to drink this years and years ago. It disappeared for about 40 years and now I see it has returned. Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dee 2 are enjoying it. I told them no more sugar pop. This is what they come up with. They really shouldn't go to the Dollar Store alone either. They came to find me at the Menards today and they come walking in with these glasses(clear glass)on. I wanted to bust a gut laughing( as I was walking mind you) but i kept my composure. I think they were expecting me to react..

We are happy to announce Elder P is going home today.

His last breakfast, french toast with real maple syrup.
His bags are packed and....
loaded in the truck to be taken to IC for the transfer to DM and the last night at the MH. hahah did everyone get that???

No longer a greenie, and soon to be an old missionary. Final days are always bittersweet and a great memory . The relationship of a greenie and his trainer is the most important of your mission. Mom he is on his way home to you now....

Refresher Course in Table Manners

They all said they had this class in YM. I'm sure they did but it doesn't hurt to refresh the basics of eating at the table and having the true knowledge of knowing how to eat with many forks, spoons, knives, cups, glasses and numerous plates. When they get home quiz them on how to pass the salt and pepper shakers.

They were surprised to learn that you didn't have to put the whole salad on the fork and shove it in ones mouth. The new rule is if we can hear you chew, you have too much food in your mouth. You will get to finish your dinner but you don't have to eat everything on the plate. We are not starving here.
Now if i could just get the table I want from Utah I have my eye on. If anyone from Utah is coming to see me with a truck please let me know so you can go and get the table and chairs I want from this great store in Orem.

Working for their dinner..

Elder S hardly working but making a good effort.
Elder C is waiting for my toe to hang over the edge I'm sure.. We will finish today. We are on a deadline . Must be done before Friday night at 12:30am. Robbie and Sarah are coming and Mr Sam arrives in the after noon on Saturday from the South Pacific. He thinks I would like the island of Truuk. Beaches, sand, scuba diving, swimming, sun, flip flops, moo moo's, wrap dresses. The down fall , poor internet, no cell phone service. Six months might not be to bad. Who knows I might like it. People did live a fine life before all that came about.

Mr Sam goes to.....

Truk, Micronesia, the diving Mecca of the World.
The new paved road
We are just so glad this plane stopped at the end of the runway. (see map for details)
Well looks like my kind of place.
The diving capital of the world. Does Mr Sam dive???? No, Does he have any idea how many people would love to be there scuba diving? Nope. More pictures coming.

The Cities of Service...

Deer in the headlights or what????
.... don't ask (birthday present for the little brother)
Only in Iowa Elders claim these quaint little burbs(cities) in the middle of the corn fields. Elder C doesn't get it so if you out there don't understand my humor let me know and I'll rephrase the post.

Ain't that something!!

Elder C is getting his chores done with a little attitude. He does know how to clean. I have seen it! Really! I was only gone for a short time and they emptied the dishwasher and swept the floor and took pictures to prove it.
